Who we are
In 1987, I, and my chocolate Weimaraner pup, Nugget, moved from the Gold Hills of California to the beautiful Oregon Coast. With just a truck and a toolbox, we started working on houses up and down the coast. With each house and each stormy winter, I learned that our climate needs a type of construction that can handle the torrential rains and gusts.
New products were invented to protect against the storms, some good and some not so great. It became my passion to protect each house against the rain and wind that tries, and sometimes succeeds, in tearing off roofing and siding. After enduring nearly 40 winters on the coast, I have seen first hand what works and what doesn’t.
The Oregon Coast requires a siding that can keep moisture out of the building, but also needs breathability to protect air stagnation and mold build up inside of the home. To do this, you need to create a watershed exterior with vents that allow air movement. It is also important to create an interior that is easy for upkeep and maintenance. When you have the weather working against you, you must take steps to protect what you have through sustainable practices.
In 2014, my son-in-law. Devlin Thompson, began his own construction company, and began to work with me. Since then, my sons, Johnathon and Matthew, have joined my crew. I am so thankful to Jesus Christ that He has blessed me to have my family work alongside me to build and protect beautiful homes on the stunning Oregon Coast.
It would be our joy to build a warm and safe home that protects you and your family.
